Who are we?

Trusted Digital Scotland (TDS) is a Scotland-based organisation dedicated to helping SMEs communicate more clearly, collaborate more effectively, and grow confidently across international markets. We specialise in high-impact digital communication training (including cyber awareness and resilience training) and strategic support for international business development.

As global business becomes more interconnected — and more regulated — we help organisations navigate cross-border communication, compliance expectations, and the cultural nuances that shape successful international relationships. We are currently working on piloting an EU Compliance & Cross-Border Collaboration Hub, which will encourage and strengthen collaboration between SMEs in Scotland and the EU, facilitate EU market entry for Scottish SMEs and position Scotland as a leading trusted digital partner in Europe and worldwide.

We also offer a tailored Partner Mapping Service to help organisations identify, evaluate and build strategic, trusted partners in new markets. By combining communication expertise with international business development insight, we support companies in expanding globally with confidence and credibility.

At our core, we believe that clear communication and trusted partnerships are the foundation of successful international growth — and we’re here to help SMEs achieve both.

What do we offer?

  • High-Impact Communication Training: We deliver tailored training to help cyber, tech and AI SMEs engage clearly and confidently with international partners, clients and ecosystems, particularly for non-native English speakers.

  • Cyber Awareness & Resilience Training: We build practical programmes which raise awareness of cyber-risk, embed good security culture, and help businesses prepare, defend, respond and recover — responding to one of the core outcomes of the national strategy which places emphasis on organisations being “well prepared to manage” cyber risks.

  • Strategic Partner Mapping: We support SMEs in mapping and establishing strategic partnerships across Europe and internationally, helping them to align with Scotland’s ambition to build strong, collaborative digital ecosystems.

  • Compliance Readiness Hub (Pilot Phase): Currently in pilot, our hub will help SMEs assess and prepare for compliance and regulatory demands (both domestic and international) — supporting the strategic framework’s focus on tools, processes, standards and cross-border compliance. This cross-border collaborative project is also designed to increase international business development through strategic partnerships.
